Website Reconstruction

Unfortunately I am going to have to start from scratch on the CMATA website. With all the other projects I currently have on the table this is going to take some time.

Right now anyone going to the website is redirected to this blog.

I will keep you posted.

Database Issue

Well the problems with the MYSql are worse than orginally thought. I have contacted the service provider but they are not much. (They will charge me $150 to restore the entire site, and take up to 6 days to do it).

It could be back to the drawing board. Time will tell.

Website Issues

Hello Everyone,

We have had some issues with our website over the last few days. I am working at restoring the database and things should be up and running soon.

There is some great news on the horizon for CMATA.

Stay tuned!

One Year to Black Belt

There is an alarming trend happening in different places in Tae Kwon Do. This trend is one year to Black Belt. For those of us who have been in the arts a long time this makes us cringe. Other believe it is possible with intense training.

In my opinion these school are doing an injustice to their art and their students. The benefit of martial arts training comes in doing the arts a long time and one year just does not cut it!

Fortunately these schools don't usually last very long.

The Secret to Retaining Adult Students

One of the most important things in running a martial art school or business is being able to retain your adult population. These are the students that help you to determine your future in the arts. These members are not only potential Black Belts, but potential teachers as well.

What causes these students to quit? Simple, they get bored.

Would you like to retain your adult members as well as motivate your current Black Belt. It's easy, simply click on the picture for more information right now.

CMATA- A Revolution in Martial Arts

A revolution (from the Latin revolutio, "a turn around") is a fundamental change in power or organizational structures that takes place in a relatively short period of time.

CMATA- A Revolution in Martial Arts in Canada. So why a revolution and what revolution am I talking about? Our world is changing quickly, our economy is in devastation and enrollment for most martial arts schools are in the tank. In order for martial arts schools to survive today they need to change the way they think. For years all the ads would tell you know great the instructor is, how much rank he has, what his amazing lineage in the arts is, and how many championships he has won. The public looks at this and goes, "That is nice, but I don't care. What are you going to do for me"?

Welcome to the Revolution
; a 180 degree switch from looking at the instructor, teacher, system, style, title, or martial arts organization to looking at and honouring THE STUDENT!

Where does CMATA fit into this revolution? We are going to provide the martial arts school owner with the tools to succeed in this revolution and time. We are going to give the prospective student a point of reference so he or she can find the school they are looking for, and not one left behind in the dark ages of martial arts training and instruction. CMATA membership will give you the tools to bring your school to a success level previously unknown. For only $19.99 per month you will receive listing in our database. CMATA log's for your website and ads, enrollment in our Email Coaching Program, and access to some of the best and most successful marketing strategies known today. You may also cancel your membership at anytime. Sorry but this offer is currently only for Canadian Schools.

I know there are disbelievers. But your accountant and trustee will be happy to explain things in the months ahead.

Join the revolution today! See your school grow and your students excellent. It's all about Black Belt Excellence.

Do you have a Mission and Vision?

Vision Statement

A vision is a statement about what your organization wants to become. It should resonate with all members of the organization and help them feel proud, excited, and part of something much bigger than themselves. A vision should stretch the organization’s capabilities and image of itself. It gives shape and direction to the organization’s future. Visions range in length from a couple of words to several pages.

Mission Statement

Mission or Purpose is a precise description of what an organization does. It should describe the business the organization is in. It is a definition of “why” the organization exists currently. Each member of an organization should be able to verbally express this mission.

If your school does not have a clearly defined Mission and Vision Statement you need one! It will set you apart from your competition.

Members Feedback

Since the creation of CMATA I have received a lot of feedback from the members as well as many none members. The general response is how happy they are to see an organization like this and they wish it had existed years ago.

Our organization is currently growing. Not in leaps and bounds, but simply member by member. That is all we really want. I am not looking for a creating an organization with 1000's of members. I want to create and sustain and organization of the best martial arts schools in Canada. I hope will have one in every major city and area.

Martial Arts training is not about survival of the fitness, and some believe it is, but it is about making people strong. The members of CMATA all have this goal!
